Our Vintage Hill style bows are shaped after the early bows by famous bowyers of days passed.
Extremely narrow, (28 mm, just over an inch) at the widest point to just under half an inch at the string groove. 3 layers of tempered bamboo in front of the straight Pear Riser. Did we mention the vintage look? Perhaps the Tigerwood veneer gave it away.
A straight glue-up, so when you receive the bow, it will have no string follow nor backset.
This makes this version of our Rebel by Fairbow even more forgiving and hard-hitting and a pleasure to shoot!
The nocks are reinforced with a thin sliver of horn, and tiny, really small. not for the fainthearted. Don t stump m in the dirt and break m.
The grip is made from Pear wood and straight, making the grip perfect for a vintage Hill-style archery. The riser gives you pressure in the hand where it should. We can glue on a leather grip if you so desire, let us know.
We used a contrasting layer of Carbon at the backing of the bow, and a layer of Stabil core at the belly of the bow
We sprayed this Rebel with a semi-gloss 2 k varnish.
