Our Vintage Hill style bows are shaped after the early bows by famous bowyers of days passed.
Extremely narrow, (28 mm, just over an inch) at the widest point to just under half an inch at the string groove. 4 layers of tempered bamboo in front of the Osage wood and a layer of Osage under the clear glass in the backing. One thin layer of Stabil Core (The Carbon Alternative) completes the vintage look. The belly has been made from Olive green Glass.
A straight glue up.
This makes this version of our Rebel by Fairbow even more smooth to draw and Hardhitting! And a pleasure to shoot!
The nocks are re-enforced with a sliver of horn, and tiny, really small. Not for the fainthearted. Don t stump m in the dirt and break m.
The grip is per sec straight. No locater, no pistol, just straight and narrow, giving you pressure in the hand where it should. Nice to hold with a handstitched leather grip.
We sprayed this Rebel with a semi-gloss 2 k varnish.
Comes with a fast flight string. Our Rebels are fit for modern string materials.
